July 4th, 2008 will mark the 25th anniversary of the Sierra Philharmonic League’s Pops in the Park. This patriotic, family-oriented concert at Genoa’s Mormon Station State Park will be performed by the Reno Philharmonic Orchestra and will feature summer conductor Timm Rolek, TV personality John Tyson (as Abe Lincoln!), and the Carson Chamber Singers. Earlier in the afternoon, the Gairin Celtic Singers will entertain the audience. Festivities begin at 1 PM and the main concert is at 4:15 PM.
