Janet Snape
Principal Second Violin
Janet Snape studied violin with Alice Schoenfeld at Pepperdine University in Los Angeles, California on a full-tuition scholarship. Her performing career from 1964-1973 centered around the Los Angeles area. From 1973-1980, her career took her to Australia where she was a first violinist with the Stuttgart Ballet, World Stars '79 Ballet, State Opera Company Productions, Australian Film Corporation, and studio recordings (EMI, EMS, ABC). She returned to the U.S. and has resided in the Reno area since 1980 where she continues to be very active as Principal Second Violin with the Reno Philharmonic Orchestra, Nevada Opera and showroom orchestras.
