Russ Dickman

Russ Dickman has been serving as principal tubist with the Reno Philharmonic Orchestra since 1969. He has also been tubist with the Great Basin Brass Quintet for the past 25 years. Russ performs in the Reno Festival Ballet, Nevada Opera and the Reno Chamber Orchestras when needed. He is a professional photographer and co-owns Hartung & Dickman Photographic Studios in Sparks, Nevada. Russ enjoys playing his guitar, horseback riding, canoeing, and the beautiful sunrises and sunsets in Sierra Valley. He and his wife Lynda host star parties for the local community on a regular basis and he likes to stay up late at night making deep sky images of Galaxies, Nebule and star clusters. Russ makes his home with his wife Lynda, three horses, eight cats and one very smart Border collie near Frenchman’s Lake, California.
