Young Peoples Concerts
YPCs are often a child's first experience of attending a concert and hearing symphonic music.
Either the professional philharmonic orchestra or the youth orchestra performs a one-hour concert in
the Pioneer Center for the Performing Arts for a theater full of elementary school children.
Approximately 14,000 students per year attend these concerts.
Attention Home Schoolers!
Don't miss this opportunity to add this excellent and complete program
to your arts curriculum. Part-curriculum and part-listening exercises,
the program culminates in a concert that teaches music history, music
theory, and music appreciation. The easy to follow guides make the
program fun for both teacher and student. Come and join us on a
fun-filled musical journey!
