Orchestra Auditions
The Reno Philharmonic and Laura Jackson, Music Director, announce auditions for the following positions:
ASSOCIATE CONCERTMASTER
SECTION VIOLIN
PRINCIPAL VIOLA
SECTION CELLO
Auditions will take place on Sunday, March 11, 2012 at 10 am at North Valleys High School.
The Reno Philharmonic offers diverse programming to the northern Nevada and eastern California region. It performs 6 pairs of Master Classics subscription concerts, 6 Young People’s Concerts, and family and pops concerts. The Reno Philharmonic supports three Youth Orchestras and places chamber groups in area public schools through its Discover Music program.

Qualified applicants will be notified by Mary Miller and will need to come to the Reno Philharmonic Office to pick up an audition packet to include music excerpts. Once the audition packet is received, audition times will be arranged through the Personnel Manager.
Contract musicians of the Reno Philharmonic are currently paid at the following per-service (2.5 hour) rates: Section Musician Per-Service: $93, per the current Collective Bargaining agreement. The Associate Concertmaster and Principal Viola Per-Service is $111.60.
