Performances & Concerts

Classix

In its 44th season, the Classix series (formerly MasterClassics) is the keystone of our performance schedule. The six Classix concert sets are performed from fall to spring on Sunday afternoons and Tuesday evenings at the Pioneer Center for the Performing Arts. Prior to each concert, music director Laura Jackson presents a concert Preview, an informative discussion of the evening’s program that is extremely popular with our patrons.

  • Sunday performance at 4:00 PM
  • Doors open at 2:30 PM
  • Concert Preview is at 3:00 PM in the main hall
  • Tuesday performance at 7:30 PM
  • Doors open at 6:30 PM
  • Concert Preview is at 7:00 PM in the exhibition hall in the lower lobby

Pops Series

The newest addition to our performances, the Pops concert series (formerly Phil Up!) showcases a different side of the Reno Phil and has something for everyone, from Broadway favorites to genre-bending musical acts to the popular Spirit of the Season holiday concert. The three unique Pops concerts are held on evenings in the Pioneer Center for the Performing Arts, with two matinees of the Spirit of the Season performance on Saturday and Sunday at 2 PM.

Family Concerts

Grab the kids and join us for some musical fun. The Reno Phil is committed to audience members no matter their height. Our family shows are perfect for introducing kids to music. These concerts include our Reno Philharmonic Youth Orchestra Concerts featuring the best musicians in the area. These concerts are perfect (and perfectly priced) for you to bring the whole family.

Special Events

We love a good party and we throw the best of them. Join us for a good time and support the Phil while you’re at it.

Summer Concerts

When the weather warms up, so do we! The summer brings such classic concerts like Pops on the River, Broadway on the Beach, Pops at the Ranch and 4th of July celebrations. Join us for some summer fun  at these perennial favorites!
