Maestro Laura Jackson and the Reno Phil Orchestra ring in the 51st season celebrating the 250th birthday of Ludwig van Beethoven, framing the season with some of his most iconic early and late works. Virtuosic pianist Sara Davis Buechner joins the orchestra for Beethoven’s Concerto No. 1. Noted for her command and artistry, Buechner is considered one of the most original pianists of modern time. The program concludes with Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 4, a work that expresses the composers battle with fate and takes listeners on a dramatic and compelling journey.
