Gather the family for a true holiday tradition. The Reno Phil, Reno Phil Chorus and conductor Jason Altieri invite you to the Spirit of the Season, a classic holiday celebration full of orchestral arrangements, jazzy numbers, traditional holiday tunes and carols. Choose from four showtimes wrapped in fantasy and fun for the whole family!

Controlled Burn, Fire Performers
Controlled Burn is Reno’s all-inclusive fire arts and performance troupe. Originally formed to dance in The Great Circle at Burning Man, the group has continued to perform there each year as well as throughout the region.
Fascinating Rhythm, Dancers
Best known for performing as “Santa Tappers,” the dancers of Fascinating Rhythm (under the direction of Kia Crader) always delight audiences.
Maria Howell, Vocal Soloist
Vocalist Maria Howell is not only known for her amazing singing talent, but also as a gifted voiceover artist and actress.
Grupo Los Clásicos, Mariachi
Katherine Parker, Vocal Soloist
Katherine Parker has enjoyed a vibrant teaching artist career spanning opera to musical theatre to large scale puppetry to world music. An in-demand educator, Katherine is on faculty at the University of Nevada, Reno and Boston Conservatory at Berklee.
The Reno Phil Chorus
The Reno Philharmonic Chorus, under the direction of Jennifer Tibben, performs with the Reno Philharmonic Orchestra during their regular Classix Season as well as during Spirit of the Season and summer pops concerts. The Reno Phil Chorus is a volunteer, auditioned ensemble.
Reno Taiko Tsurunokai
Reno Taiko Tsurunokai is a Japanese drum group formed in 1997 by Rieko Shimbo. The group plays traditional Japanese folk music as well as original songs and has performed in numerous multicultural festivals and charity events in the Reno/Sparks area.
Tintabulations, Hand Bell Ensemble
A local favorite, Tintabulations Handbell Ensemble has been enthralling audiences locally, regionally, nationally and internationally for over two decades. Led by Barb Walsh, the ensemble is made up of talented musicians from all walks of life.
