A native of Kansas City, Missouri, Michael Henry and his wife Judi lived in Missouri until 2001. There, Mr. Henry served in the Kansas City Police Department. The Henrys were avid supporters of the Kansas City Symphony, volunteering time by chauffeuring guest artists and conductors to and from the airport, hotel, restaurants, and event spaces.
Before leaving Missouri, Mr. Henry made a career change into school administration. After moving to Reno in 2001, he served as principal at two Washoe County schools before retiring in 2015.
Michael’s previous Board of Trustees experience includes the Kansas City Museum, University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Education Alumni Association, and Clay County Historic Sites Advisory Board. He was also involved with Rotary Club of Sparks and ArrowCreek Homeowners Association Board of Directors, and is a Captain with the Washoe County Honorary Deputy Sheriff’s Association.
In addition to their love and support of the Reno Phil, the Henrys are members of the Reno Corvette Club and love to spoil their dogs, Merle & Bea.
