The Reno Phil returns to celebrate Independence day with a patriotic concert and fireworks finale! 

The last year has kept friends, family, and neighbors apart, but our community has survived and is poised to come back stronger than ever. The Reno Phil, northern Nevada’s largest performing arts organization, is proud to facilitate this return of togetherness, joy, and celebration with two performances of the ever-popular 4th of July Concert at Rancho San Rafael.

In celebration with Artown, the Reno Phil Orchestra, Reno Phil Chorus,  and vocalist Kyle Rea will perform patriotic and classical favorites at Rancho San Rafael Regional Park on Saturday and Sunday, July 3rd & 4th during Artown. Conducted by Jason Altieri, this family friendly performance will begin at 7:30pm and will end with a fantastic firework finale.

A Reno-native and University of Nevada alumnus, Kyle Rea is a singer, pianist and band-leader who is a staple in the Reno jazz and vocal scene. Playing to packed audiences with his own 25-piece orchestra, Rea is a powerful and soulful tenor with a broad stylistic range and an ear for improvisation. Rea studied opera, jazz and piano at the University of Nevada where he earned his music degree. Since forming the Kyle Rea Orchestra, he has been headlining concerts and shows Reno’s Artown Festival, private VIP parties, and with the Reno Jazz Orchestra. In 2018, Rea released his latest album Live at Sticks Center, now streaming. He is married to his college sweetheart Jillian and they have two children.
